First Post - Welcome!

Hello there,

Welcome to Becoming Lucy!

As you may have guessed from the name of the blog (and of the website), my name's Lucy and it's my pleasure to e-meet you :).

I'm a 25 year-old Tanzanian, currently living and working in Dar es Salaam, and working to become the woman of my dreams. The things that tend to capture my interest include books about other people's lives and lessons learnt, looking back on the lessons I have learnt, and researching about life, international development and everything in between.

Full disclosure: This isn't my first blog... I'm a culprit of starting things and not finishing them (e.g. https://reflectafakari.wordpress.com/ insert sweating emoji). However, it is my first personal website and I want to be able to come back to this space and look back on my growth and thought processes (even if I end up not being as consistent as I may like).

In here I want to share my aspirations and failures, the things that interest me and the things I have questions about. I want it to be a space that I can look back on and see my growth process. The process of becoming the woman of my dreams.

PS. (This is not related at all to the above. It's more of a reminder for future Lucy) I have a thing about justifying (Ctrl+J) the stuff I write. Hmmm... maybe I'll write a post about the things that tick me off.
